Evidential weight of the «Verified deed» badge and property registration in Libya
The platform grants the badge «Verified deed» to a listing once the seller uploads a document indicating ownership (such as a property registry certificate, a Sharia deed, an electronic certificate or a usufruct contract). This check is a formal technical and administrative step to confirm an official document exists in the name matching the phone number, and is not a certificate issued by the Libyan State or a substitute for official property registration.
Mandatory official verification: The platform advises, and requires, every buyer to check with the Real Estate Registration and Notarisation Authority that the property record is free of any mortgages, judicial custody or endowment (waqf) disputes, and to draw up contracts only with notaries officially accredited by the Libyan Ministry of Justice.
